Hi I'm Stephen

I enjoy Brasil, cars, futebol, & trance! I love the Lord Jesus Christ and desire to make Him the center of my life.

About Me

I am currently living in the Dallas, TX area and work in the accounting profession. I enjoy water sports, snow skiing, auto sports, and being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints! I have a strong interest in traveling to many parts of the world in the future; I am passionate about being a good influence on those around me and have a strong desire to help those who, in circumstances different than my own, have not enjoyed the same opportunities and comforts familiar to me from my earliest remembrance.

Why I am a Mormon

I've had opportunity on occasion to ask myself questions that seem to transcend mortality. Why am I here on earth? Where did I come from? "If a man die, shall he live again" (Job 14:14)? It seems many others have wondered similarly, maybe even you have thought about questions like these. For me, I have found very fulfilling answers to these questions in the light of the restored flood of gospel truths, in these our latter-days. Accordingly, I know that Joseph Smith is a Prophet of God. He translated, by the gift and power of God, an ancient record now before the world as "The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ". Like Peter of old, I know that "flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto [me], but my Father which is in heaven" (Matthew 16:17). I therefore know that all men everywhere can obtain the same assurance, from the same Source. I love my Savior Jesus Christ. I know that He died for me, for you, and for all humanity. God is our Heavenly Father. He loves us and has all knowledge, all wisdom, and all power. I believe that we are currently preparing for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. I desire to live "by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God" (Matthew 4:4) so that I might have "peace" in the world (John 16:33), and be able to say, with John of old, "even so, come, Lord Jesus" (Revelation 22:20).

How I live my faith

I consider myself fortunate to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The church has had a profound effect on my life, and has ultimately changed the trajectory of it. I know that happiness in family life is most likely to be achieved when founded upon the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. My belief in God, His goodness, and His desire for my eternal happiness and well-being is a knowledge that affects how I live my life each day. Truly, the gospel life is the good life!
