Hi I'm James

I love sports and the outdoors. I'm double majoring in Russian and Psychology at BYU. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I absolutely love sports and the outdoors. I'm the sixth of nine children, all names starting with "J". I'm a college student double majoring in Russian and Psychology. I served a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Moscow, Russian from Jan 2007 to Dec 2008. I will finish my undergraduate work in April 2013 and then plan on attending graduate school.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because living the doctrines and principles of the Church help me to find real joy in life. It teaches me what is most important, and how to make it a priority, and then help others to do the same. It gives me purpose and meaning in my life, and everything the Church teaches is the very reason for our being here on earth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing what I should both on my own, and in my ward. I pray and read the scriptures every day. I attend my church meetings and fulfill my callings to the best of my knowledge and ability. I volunteer when I can in the community helping with the elderly or cleaning up the community. I strive to do all my home teaching each month, realizing that it is a blessing to me and to those whom I serve. I participate in ward activities and enjoy the deep friendships that come as a result, and most of all, the spiritual enlightenment and edification that follows.
