Hi I'm LaVoy!

I grew up on a farm in Fillmore, Utah. I coached high school wrestling for 30 years and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Fillmore, Utah. I am the oldest of 6 children. My childhood was spent on the familly farm in Pahvant, 8 miles northwest of Fillmore, where my family owned 360 acres. I lived on the farm during the summer and moved to the family home during the winter so I could attend school. After high school I attended college and taught school. I am married and have 8 children.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have studied the Book of Mormon and found it's teachings to be true. Every person on this earth can find out it's truthfulness by following the directions given in the last book - which is the book of Moroni. I want to be found worthy to live with my Savior Jesus Christ after this life. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints provides the way for this to happen. Being a Mormon also is a basis for a complete and happy life.

How I live my faith

I have worked with the youth through scouting and other organizations. I respond to all that is asked of me because I know this work is true. I know the Book of Mormon is true and serves to guide my life.
