Hi I'm Heather Ann Lagrosa

I'm a student. I'm a daughter. I'm a sister. I'm a friend. I'm a dreamer. I'm a survivor. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hey, I'm Heather and I'm a recent college graduate with way too many interests. I love teaching, writing, learning, and volunteering. I enjoy hanging out with my friends, and playing board games and card games, but nothing compares to playing some football, basketball, or ultimate on a beautiful day. I love the imperfections in life that help me to appreciate all of the goodness in my life. It amazes me every day how beautiful people are as individuals, and I am grateful that I get to associate with at least a few of them. I want to change the world... I'm not sure exactly how it's going to happen, but one day it's going to happen! :) I'm currently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints, and I am so excited to have this opportunity to share the gospel with the wonderful people in the Lubbock Texas Mission!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon because I know with every ounce of energy in my soul that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. I know my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ love me, and it is through this love that I have learned trust, hope, and faith. I'm Mormon because the church that Jesus Christ set up during His time on the Earth, after it was lost during the great apostasy, was restored by Joseph Smith. This church, Christ's church is not a museum for saints, but a hospital for sinners. God knows how to perfectly administer to His children.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to become better every day. I look up to my Heavenly Father for guidance, pray in the name of Jesus Christ continually, and strive to progress towards perfection every day. I live my faith by emulating Jesus Christ's example of friendship. I live my faith by taking time to not only listen to what the world wants to tell me, but pay attention to the still small voice of the Holy Ghost to guide me in every aspect of my life. I live my faith by hoping, even after making mistakes, and helping others to find that hope as well. I live my faith by being me, the best me that I can be.
