Hi I'm Matthew

I've played sports all my life. I go to college at one of the biggest party schools in the U.S. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I played three sports in high school: football, basketball, and tennis as well as working at a fast food restaurant. I now attend a university in California and am studying to become a mechanical engineer. I love to play intramural sports and fill my time with physical activities with friends. My family back home - six hours away - as well as my girlfriend (also back home) are great support for me and I cherish their love.

Why I am a Mormon

This Church means so much to me! The opportunity to attend spiritually uplifting activities in which I can feel the love of Jesus Christ is a blessing that I will forever be grateful for! Life can be hectic, but the Gospel of Jesus Christ enables me to pray to my Father in Heaven for comfort and peace. These answered prayers are the reasons why I will always be glad to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I attend classes regularly at the LDS Institute of Religion near campus and I am able to learn a great deal there each time I go. At church, I am currently called as a member of a group planning activities for the members that I attend with, as well as being called to prepare a room at the church for service each week. These callings (jobs) provide nice opportunities to serve as well as a chance to meet and befriend the fellow members of my church congregation.
