Hi I'm David

I'm a Mormon. I know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is led by a prophet by direct revelaltion from Jesus Christ.

About Me

I am happily married for the past 11 years to my beautiful wife and I have 3 pefect sons. We also have 3 other additional family members in our dogs. I am an Electronic Technician that started in telecommunications and now I specialize in commercial access control, surveillance, and audio visual systems. For fun I enjoy all kind of sports but am truly in love with football. I am a football junky. College or Pro matters not. I look forward to football season as soon as the current season ends. I also enjoy camping, fishing, shooting, and all other outdoor activities. My other great hobby is teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ to anyone that is wiling to listen. I know that it provides true meaning to my life and that no person can be whole in this life without the knowledge that the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings. I have a favorite saying that, "I work to live, not live to work." I mean this with the utmost respect to my job because I truly love what I do and the service and happiness that it allows me to bring to others. I think if all of us looked at our jobs as providing service to others we might well do a much better job at it. The reason I work to live is because if I could I would spend all day being with my family. I often fantasize about what it would have been like in a different time when you wake up, work you land, and do nothing but phsyically work to provide for the needs of your family. It sounds like paradise to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only church on the earth today that is led literally by God himself and His son Jesus Christ. The prophet today is Thomas S. Monson. I testify that he speaks for God himself and that every man, women, and child will receive blessings and happiness from the Lord if they abide by the teachings and counsel of President Monson. The organization of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was directed by revelation from angels from God who led the prophet Joseph Smith in restoring the church to the proper and true organization that Jesus Christ established when He was on the earth. This organization consisting of a prophet, apostles, and seventies that hold the priesthood of God and are responsible for the teaching of the world and bringing all men to Jesus Christ their Savior. I believe that anyone who belives in Jesus Christ is a christian and is looked upon favorably by the Lord. However, I also know that when I read Paul's epistle to the Ephesians in Chapter 4 verses 4 - 6 it is clear to me that there is only 1 proper way to be baptized just as there is only 1 God and 1 Jesus Christ. As a reasonable man, I must deduct that if there is only 1 true baptism with many baptisms being done differently by different churches then there must be only 2 possibilities. Either all of them are wrong or only 1 of them is providing that 1 true baptism of which Paul speaks of in Ephesians. I know that the priesthood held in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is that same priesthood which was held be Jesus Christ himself which provides the power and authority to act in His name to adminsiter the ordinances necessary for salvation to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man. This is the purpose of our God. I testify that this is true and that All can know this by doing one simple thing. Read the Book of Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by maintaining my personal relationship with Jesus Christ and God. I do this through daily prayer and study of scripture. I study the King James version of the Bible, The Book of Mormon, Doctirne and Covenanats, and the Pearl of Great Price. I also Study the words of the prophet and apostles on the earth today that provide revelation from God. These prophets and apostles are all part of the leadership of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. By maintaining my personal relationsihp, I maintain my worthiness to receive revelation from the Holy Ghost and He helps guide me in all the little things to do in my life to help others, provide service, and teach others to bring them the happiness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I testify that although it goes against the practical teachings of the world, the more time we give of ourselves to do the work of the Lord, the happier we are in this life, the more blessings the Lord bestows upon us, and the more time we have to enjoy this beautfful world that the Lord has made for us. I currently serve as a ward missionary in my local ward and find great enjoyment in that calling from the Lord. I get to work with some other great brothers and sisters who have great testimonies of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I love to teach the word of God and am thankful every day I get the opportunity. I hope that all that read this will recoginze that happiness in this life comes from selflessness. The selflessness to care about all the people around you more than yourself. It is this selflessness and love for our fellow men that allows us to be quided by the Lord and find true happiness.
