Hi I'm Cyrena Thompson

I grew up in West Virginia. I am adopted. I'm a missionary in the Colorado Denver South mission. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I wasn't born into the church. When I was six years old, my two brothers, my sister and I were adopted. Before that, my siblings and I lived in a tent on the side of the interstate with my biological parents and a few people who I didn't really know. My biological parents were alcoholics and drug addicts. When I was four, my siblings and I were put into foster care with a family where I became a victim of abuse. After two years in foster care, my siblings and I were adopted into a beautiful family. I was baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I attend church every Sunday. I now have four brothers and two sisters, whom I love dearly. I have graduated from high school and am currently serving a mission for my church in the Colorado Denver South Mission. I love to travel and hope to someday be able to travel across all of Europe.

Why I am a Mormon

Before I was adopted I was constantly surrounded by evil things of the world. When my parents adopted me, I could instantly feel the difference. My parents always carry the light of Christ with them and even as a little girl, I knew that that was something I didn't ever want to be without. I chose to change my life for the good and live my life for Christ. My parents are a constant examples to me of how to live a Christ centered life and I hope to one day raise a family in the Gospel as they did with me and my siblings.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church every Sunday. The constant strength, peace, and love I feel when I go is a reminder to me of how much my Savior loves me. As a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I invite others to come unto Christ and to receive His restored gospel. Serving a mission is the biggest blessing in my life. It helps me draw closer to my Savior and it serves as a constant reminder of how much I love Him and how much He loves me.
