Hi I'm Cameron

I am 19 years old preparing to serve a mission to Resistencia, Argentina. I enjoy the outdoors and any activities with loved ones.

About Me

I graduated from Hillgrove high school in 2016. I played football, ran track and competed in kickboxing. I enjoy drawing pictures, anything to do with the outdoors, sports, music and having fun with my friends and family. I have been skydiving, cliff jumping, I have done 2 Spartan races and a 10 mile race. Making memories means a lot to me. I will have the privilege to serve a 2 year mission in Resistencia, Aregentina. I leave for the MTC May 3 and will preach the gospel in Spanish. After my mission I will be attending school at Brigham Young University in Rexburg Idaho. I love the gospel and I am grateful I get to be part of such a wonderful work.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and most of my family are still active. But just like everyone else in my family I have the choice to stay in the church or leave it. I choose to stay because I know without a doubt that this is the church of God. I feel close to the Savior when I read the Book of Mormon, serve or actively participate in my callings. This gospel has real meaning to me. Its not just a hobby its my life and I love it. Through modern revelation the Lord has restored the fullness of his gospel on the earth. This gospel reminds who we are, why we are here, and where we are going once our time in this life is over. No other church on the earth has the fullness of the gospel or the wonderful understanding of who we really are. I know this is the true church on the earth the Book of Mormon along with the Bible both testify of its truthfulness. If anyone earnestly seeks for the truth the Lord will reveal it to them through study, prayer and the Holy Ghost. I believe all of this to be true and it gives me joy to live this gospel, or in other words to be Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday of my life not just on Sundays. I strive everyday to live in harmony with what the Savior taught. I have come to understand that true faith is not something you can put aside when you want to. True faith means doing your best every minute of everyday. No matter how hard the challenges ahead seem our loving Heavenly Father has provided a way for us to overcome them. I live my faith by believing that my Savior, Jesus Christ died so that I can live again. And through him and him alone I can be made spotless. I will never be perfect but that is what makes faith, faith. Doing your best everyday because you believe that in the end all the hard work and trust you give to the Lord will be worth it. That is how I live my faith.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

God is our loving Heavenly Father, who wants the best for us. He gave us a body designed after his own image so that we can become become perfect like him, through the savior. Heavenly Father wants us to be happy and to live with him again one day. Show more Show less
