Hi I'm Thomas Dunkley Brown

I was born in Bucharest, Romania. I was adopted into a family of thirteen kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 21 years old, I played football, I ran, and i swam in high school. I went to college for one semester and then i went on a mission for the church.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because, I know that this is the true church of Jesus Christ. I know it because i have seen how the wonderful things it has done in my very large family. It gives me the right way to live in a world slowly diving into moral decay. I know that the book of mormon is true because i have read it and prayed about it. I know that Jesus Christ is the saviour of the world and that it does not matter how far we have fallen, through his atonement we can find our way back. I love this church.

How I live my faith

I live this everyday. God has given us commandments and we should follow them. I know that if i follow they will bless my life. God can not bless us if we do not keep the commandments.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Thomas Dunkley Brown
There is a strong tradition of missionary service in the Church. The Savior taught, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations” (Matthew 28:19). Church members consider it a privilege to show their love for other people and the Lord by sharing the gospel. Missionaries generally begin serving when they are from 19 to 21 years old. Many retired seniors, men, women, and married couples also serve missions. Missionaries serve from 18 months to 2 years. Missions are voluntary, and missionaries are not paid for their service. Missionaries come from around the world, and they serve wherever the Church calls them. While serving full-time, missionaries are official representatives of the Church. Show more Show less
