Hi I'm Penny John

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Iam a Mother of three boys and they are really active they keep me on my toes. I love to do craft knitting is one of my favorite crafts to do. I am happily married to my wonderful husband for 11 years now. I love animals especially dogs i have three of them. I love to read the scriptures so i can be closer to my Heavenly Father.

Why I am a Mormon

I wasn"t always a member of the church. I grew up in Virgina. My grandparents raised me and we really didn't have religion in our life. I met my husband and he told me he was Mormon and i told him that i didn't have a religion. He was inactive for about 5 years when we first met. Something bad had happened in his life so he told me he was going back to his church. I thought at first that it was really weird that he had told me he was going back to his church so he asked me to come with him. I did go to church with him and so i wasn"t to sure about it at first. He asked me to pray about things first so of course with me not having religion i didn't know what to think. I did pray and i asked him for a Book Of Mormon i read some of it and prayed about it. Than i went up to him and asked to have missionary's over for the discussions. They came and when they started talking about Joesph Smith i thought that was the most amazing thing ever. We were living together at that time so i had to agree to move out to get baptized. I moved out and i got baptized and we got married a month after i was baptized than a year later we got sealed in the Washingotn D.C. Temple. Iam still a member of the church and i never would change it for anything.

How I live my faith

I am a secertary in our ward and i really enjoy my calling. My calling really has changed me spritiually and i love that i have grown. I also go Visiting Teaching. I love that all of the sisters in the church have that calling. Being a Visitng Teacher is awesome to do to get to know our wonderful sister's in the ward.
