Hi I'm Heidi

I'm a Mormon. I have lived in Michigan most of my life.

About Me

I am married and I am a stay-at-home Mother to four children. I have been active in my community and I am very active in my children's public school education. I enjoy biking, walking, and hiking with my family. I also enjoy my dogs.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it seems to have answers to tough questions like, why am I here?, where am I going? and what is my purpose?. I am here to grow and gain knowledge. As I gain knowledge, I am able to understand and accept Jesus Christ as the savior of the world and as my personal savior. My purpose is to have a family and teach them about God and His plan for us. I also help them learn how to listen and obey. I am grateful for this valuable information in my life. It makes it easier for me to make decisions. I also really love that my church is focused on helping families succeed. It is a blessing to have a place where we are valued and loved.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by praying every day to grow my relationship with God. I also try my best to study from the scriptures so that I can get to know Jesus Christ in a more personal way. I visit the sick and those who are having a difficult time as often as I can. I also have the opportunity to develop friendships with other women who believe the same things that I do. We can discuss our beliefs together and learn how God has touched our hearts and our lives.

Why don’t women hold the priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? How do Mormon women lead in the Church?

The Priesthood is the power of God on Earth. As a woman, I share in that power because I am able to have children and raise them. We have a woman's organization that we are able to draw strength from each other and support each other. Show more Show less
