Hi I'm Sarah

I'm a college student turned missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a math major and I quite enjoy chick flicks and pretty much anything British (or French, for that matter). Usually, I live in the middle of the desert (aka Utah) for most of the year, surrounded by gorgeous mountains and friendly college people while I go to BYU. For the rest of the year I live on the east coast of the United States, surrounded by gorgeous trees and friendly Southern people while at home for the summer. I have now left home for 18 months to be a missionary for the LDS Church in the Taiwan Taichung mission, and I'm SO excited to share what makes me so happy with the Taiwanese people. Being a missionary is hard, but being able to teach the message of Jesus Christ and joy and hope through Him is the best thing I could be doing, and I love it.

Why I am a Mormon

I became a Mormon because my parents both were. They, through their teachings and examples, have provided me a strong foundation in the church. But I am a Mormon today because I know the teachings of the church are true. The Spirit of God tells me it is true every day. I know that Joseph Smith would not have died testifying of the Book of Mormon if it wasn't true. I have read it and prayed and gained a knowledge for myself that, like the Bible, it is a divinely given witness of Jesus Christ. And if that is true, it all must be. I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior, and that we can all live with Him and our families again, for all eternity. I know that I am happiest in this life when I live the teachings of the gospel. It is true, and I love it!

How I live my faith

I attend church meetings regularly and am a student at Brigham Young University (BYU), where I learn more about the gospel every day. I strive to become a better person and to be kind to those around me. I try to be a good example of what members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints are like, and to share the faith that brings such joy to my life. Serving a mission will allow me to do this full time as I try to find and teach people who are ready to hear the message of Jesus Christ in Taiwan.
