Hi I'm Carl Bloomfield

I grew up in Eagar Arizona, I'm a husband, father, fourth generation Arizona native, Scouter and a civil engineer. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Eagar, Arizona. I am the ninth of 10 children in my family. I enjoy many outdoors activities but mostly I enjoy spending time in productive ways. I am a Scoutmaster. I am a handy guy that enjoys teaching my children about how to take care of themselves. I have been married for 21 years to an amazing and strong woman and we have been blessed with 8 fine children. I am a civil engineer with experience in land development. I really like to cook on a campfire in Dutch ovens. Many of my best memories have been outdoors along streams or by a campfire. I have many great friends in my life, my best ones are my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because experiences have helped me to know that I am a child of God and that He wants me to be happy. He has created a way for me to find happiness here and be able to live with Him eternally. This plan involves Jesus Christ as the Great Mediator with the Father for all men, including me. I know that Jesus Christ makes it possible for me to repent of my daily mistakes and gives me hope to be able to live a life that is more in harmony with His teachings. In many of the quiet moments of my life I have been impressed with the peace and comfort of knowing that my Heavenly Father loves me and is aware of what my needs are. I have had these same teachings and impressions for as long as I can remember. This was solidified when I served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Spending time studying, learning, and serving others has helped me to gain a strong understanding and testimony of Jesus Christ and know that this Church bears His name because it is His church organized in this time in history.

How I live my faith

I live my faith primarily in personal religious observances and in serving others…..learning and then serving others. By personal religious observances I mean by reading scriptures, frequent prayer and striving to be open and obedient to inspirations that come into my mind and heart. While I am no where near perfect at any of these things I feel life is better for me and my family as I do them. I enjoy serving and staying busy with responsibilities in my family and in the church. My wife deserves most credit for the satisfaction I find in my marriage and our children. My life has been enriched by serving with many people in many different responsibilities. I have spent a great deal of my life spending time with young men by being active as a leader in the Boy Scouts of America. My time with these young people lead me to be impressed and hopeful for the future, these young people are terrific and inspiring.
