Hi I'm Orion

I'm a musician. I'm a citizen of the world. I'm a friend. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived all over the world. I was born in Orem, Utah as my parents were finishing their studies at Brigham Young University. My father began his career in the United States Air Force and our adventure as a family began. We moved to Southern California first which was followed by moving to Northern Itay when I was 4. I turned 6 and we moved to Germany. I was baptized there in Germany and we came back to the United States where we resided in Monterey, California. Three years later, we moved to Crofton, Maryland, which was, two years later, followed by living in Colorado Springs, Colorado for 2 years. Afterwards, we lived in Tampa, Florida for 3 years. However, I was only there for 2 years as I spent a year studying at BYU. After I served my mission in Argentina, I went and lived with my family in Turkey. I'm currently studying at BYU. I love music. I play the violin and have played for the past 16 years. I am currently teaching myself how to play the piano. I also enjoy dance. I am a part of the BYU International Folk Dance Ensemble. I've also performed clogging, tap, ballet, and ballroom. I love acting and being outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

During my lifetime here in the church, I have only encountered opportunites to become a better person. I am always finding ways to improve myself, become happier, and place my life more in line with my Father in Heaven and my Savior Jesus Christ. It is rather easy to find the faults in other people, but that is simply because we are less than perfect. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is a perfect church, being established upon the rock which is our Redeemer, which is run by imperfect people. Understanding that I am a son of God helps me realize day by day that my Savior did indeed suffer the Atonement for me that I may one day return to the prescence of my Father. To expect perfection from others and of myself is unjust but there is a way that my Savior has provided for me. Having and understanding this relationship between me and my Heavenly Father is something that I have only been able to understand from being Mormon. My teenage years have been difficult and stressful. But with all this light and knowledge that has been bestowed upon me has helped me not feel hopeless when hope seemed all but lost. The world is a difficult place to live in, but our Father has provided many ways to help us out and understand that His ways are not the worlds ways and happiness is ours if we but obey.

How I live my faith

I am currently an online missionary where I answer anyone's questions regarding the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I try to live my life accordingly and am super friendly to everyone. I love making friends, so what better way to be LDS than by loving everyone.
