Hi I'm Stephanie

I'm a web producer, half-marathon runner, and music-lover living in San Francisco and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Born and raised in the Bay Area, I have also lived around the Rockies, Hollywood, Pantheon, and Great Wall of China in previous adventures and currently enjoy a view of the Golden Gate bridge from my woodsy-raccoon-and-coyote-friendly San Francisco neighborhood. A fan of sunrise hikes, jumping into lakes at midnight to swim under the stars, meeting locals when I travel, eating spicy foods, and planning themed parties, I enjoy being active and feel energized around good people. Live music (both listening and playing) and artsy-type things like book clubs, international films, and museums are some of my favorite pastimes, partially because I enjoy beautiful things, but also because I like learning and discussing. The second out of 4 kids, I like going scuba diving with my family and am grateful to spend time with them and other friends nearby. I know salty but I love the sweet of life and am creative, enthusiastic, and enjoy a good laugh. My life at the moment includes working as a web producer for an international fashion retail site in downtown San Francisco, running, improving my guitar skills, singing-along, giving back, and plotting my next adventure.

Why I am a Mormon

Just as music adds that extra "something" to words and notes, I'm a Mormon because--beyond the words and organization--I have felt in my heart and in my mind a wholeness in the things I have learned and felt at church. I feel closer to God and to those that I love when I learn about our Savior, Jesus Christ, His life, His example, and His sacrifice for me and all of mankind. I'm a Mormon because I believe the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the best resource for finding Truth, enabling progress, and happiness both in this life and beyond.

How I live my faith

I live my faith daily by working to become the best version of myself through study and prayer as well as supporting and helping others to do the same. I'm not perfect by any means when it comes to prioritizing my time, but I strive to support my community by volunteering weekly with kids at a local shelter for families in San Francisco. I also plan social and service-focused activities for Young Single Adults in my congregation and serve at the Mormon Temple in Oakland every other weekend. In the bustle of this thriving city I live in and love, some aspects of my life are a bit different from other single San Franciscans. I don't drink or smoke, am not "420" friendly, and I believe in modesty and chastity in regards to how I treat my body. I have great friends both in and outside of my religion and especially enjoy organizing and participating in uplifting music, cultural, and outdoor events with them.
