Hi I'm Jake Loveland

I grew up in Utah. I love the outdoors. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I grew up in Harrisville Utah where I learned how to work and how to have fun. I love to do pretty much anything outside-ski, hike, bike, ride motorcycles, and most recently have fallen in love with longboarding. I have also learned to love shoveling snow and hauling hay. I have a very musical and artistic mind but not much musical or artistic skill. But I try. I play the piano, guitar, and ukulele and try to take some good photography once in a while. I went to college for one year in a little town in the middle of nowhere where I learned to build big fires and get a Jeep really dirty. I served a mission in the Minnesota Minneapolis Mission. I hope to one day be the best husband and father I can.

Why I am a Mormon

I am nothing on my own and it is only through my Savior Jesus Christ that I can be the person I want to and know I should be. When I study the words of prophets both ancient and modern and when I attend church, I feel a sense of peace that I can find nowhere else- a sense of peace and a knowledge that I am not alone, I don't have to do this all by myself. This feeling confirms to me that I am in the right place. I know that God lives and that He loves every one of us personally. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is Christ's church on the earth today and is led by Him through living prophets. The Book of Mormon is the word of God. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior, that He lives, and that through Him and His gospel we can always have someone to rejoice with us when we rejoice and grieve with us when we grieve. He can lift us, support us, and comfort us through the "valley of the shadow of death." And when we make it through, He will stay with us to help us enjoy the journey. These are the things I hold closest and why I live the way I live.

How I live my faith

I just try to be the best I can be and help others to do the same.
