Hi I'm Kekoa Bay

I grew up in a blended family, I live in Hawaii, I love spending time in the ocean, I like work, & love to play & I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I work as a warehouse manager for Helix Electric. I enjoy interacting with people from different backgrounds and cultures. Recently I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Social Work. I love the ocean and how free I feel in the outdoors. I am very interested in learning about the culture of Hawaii and the other Pacific Islands. In school I got to sail on a voyaging canoe to visit other Islands and it was a great experience. I love music and got to tour with my choir in Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the LDS church, but there came a point in my life that I had to find out for myself that this was what was best for me. When I was younger I had a period of time where I chose to go my own direction for a while. I noticed a large difference in my life. It almost seemed as if the whole world was literally darker. After a while I came back to the gospel and it was like switching on a light switch. Darkness dispersed from my life and I knew that my Savior wanted me to have not only light but also the happiness that came from that light. I hope that others can also find that light that I have found. I still have many things I can do to come closer to Him and I strive daily to overcome my weaknesses and challenges.

How I live my faith

I ride the bus to and from work every day and I have many opportunities to share with others about my beliefs. I personally do not want to push my beliefs on others, but I try to arouse a curiosity so others want to learn more. I work with many people who share quite different values from me. Most of them are supportive of my desires to live my values even if they joke around about it sometimes. My journey in the gospel is far from perfect. I have a long way to go as I continue to overcome my challenges, my goal is to allow others the same opportunity to learn and grow with where they are at. I had an opportunity to serve a 2 year mission for my Savior Jesus Christ in Hawai`i. I learned there how much love He has for His children and I seek for opportunities to share that love and concern for others.
