Hi I'm Wade

I grew up in Idaho. I am learning the wonders of gardening. I am a dairy farmer. I play video games. Also I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well I will be plainly honest I like to read and I like to follow stories. As I read I see stories come to life before my eyes the hardest part for me is putting the book down that I am reading because I am always wanting to know what is going to happen next. I really began to like reading around the fourth grade and it has stuck with me ever since. I am trying to go to school for computer engineering it is something that I have enjoyed while I have been able to do it. I recently have taken in intrest in gardening and really do enjoy watching how God shows us his power of creation in turning a seed into a plant.

Why I am a Mormon

Well I will be honest I was born into the church. This however is not a reason to be a Mormon. The reason I follow the teachings and do my best to live the gospel is due to the fact that as I look around and see other people. It doth appear to me that as they live the principles that we teach and advicate they are happier and love their fellow man more. Those who don't seem unto me like they are missing something in a lot of cases, still good people, just that they are looking for something. When I do read the Book of Mormon I read the accounts and see the way the gospel has helped those in it and how when the people abandon those things they start having problems they same is true in the bible. So here we have two witnesses that when you live righteously you are blessed. Then from what I see in in my life, I have come to know that there is a redeemer that helps us become more then we could be ourselves. The saying is all roads lead to Rome while that my no longer be true all things point to me that this is the path that I should take and live.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following the teachings of Christ. As I go about my days at this time I look for oppertunties to share the message of the gospel and offer Christ like service unto those who need help and try to raise up those who are feeling down trodden or hurt. I find great joy while I do this and it helps me come closer unto Christ and under stand more of what he would have us do and by and truly understand love your neighber as your self.

Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

The reason that we baptize new members is that it is a commandment of God and needs to be done by his authority. Well that’s fine and grand for people that haven’t been baptized but why do I need to get baptized again. Glad you asked. First baptism is an ordinance that needs to be done by his authority so they need to be commissioned of God to do it. In the book of Acts in the New Testament Paul comes across a congregation that was baptized. So he asked them if they had received the Holy Ghost in which they answer no. So he asks under whose authority were they baptized and they said they were baptized unto Johns Baptism. Well John was a good guy but they needed to be baptized again unto Gods baptism so Paul went straightway and did so. They had already taken Christ into their lives and where believers and had shown they were willing to give of themselves to God. So God provided a way that they could be baptized under his authority. Just like an ice-cream man cannot right you a speeding ticket only a cop. Someone must have permission and be worthy of God to do his ordinances. Show more Show less
