Hi I'm Jess

I'm adopted. I'm a new mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was adopted at the age 11 by a wonderful LDS couple. Coming from a very broken home filled with alcoholism, drugs, neglect, and growing up in a very prejudice area it was an incredible blessing to become a part of an eternal home with an eternal family! I was taught that even though I had a rough childhood filled with awful things that I could choose to become better or bitter. It helped having such a wonderful structure of the gospel and to be surrounded by amazing examples in my church leaders and peers. Today I am a wife to a worthy priesthood holder, we were married in the temple for time and all eternity, I am a mother to a future missionary, I am starting my own online business and I am happy to say that I have chosen to be better.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the true joy and happiness the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints teaches me. The gospel is all about eternal families, progression, and forgiveness. I make mistakes on a daily basis, most fairly small (i.e. bad attitude, rude remarks, selfishness) and some big. No matter the "size" of my mistake I know that if I truly repent with a humble and sincere heart I will be forgiven. The atonement of Jesus Christ is truly one of the greatest blessings we can take a part of. I also love that I can be a part of an eternal family. With the blessing of the temples on earth we can truly become a forever family, even after death. I am a Mormon because the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints makes me a better daughter, a better mother, sister, wife, friend...a better person.

How I live my faith

I attend church on a weekly basis. My husband and I have been called to be the ward Employment Specialists. We have the wonderful opportunity to help others find work so that they may provide for themselves and their families! I love being apart of a community full of service and wonderful people! It is truly a blessing to be a part of a group of people so willing and eager to serve each other. I am growing in my Faith every day!

What is faith?

Jess
Faith is having confidence in someone or something. Faith and fear cannot exist in the same heart. Even the smallest amount of faith can bring about miracles! I believe having faith is the key to the gospel. Show more Show less
