Hi I'm Erin

I grew up in California. I married the man of my dreams. I am a stay at home mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a family of nine, five of my siblings are adopted. My mother was a stay at home mom and my dad worked hard for a living. After graduating high school, I completed an AA in humanities, married the love of my life and a few days before our first wedding anniversary gave birth to our first baby. I am a stay at home mom to an adorably precious little boy. The wife to a business and mathematics student. I dream of running my own small business. I love sunglasses, elephants, the sun, going on walks with my family, shopping, enjoying the outdoors and swimming. I am crazy in love with my husband and head over heels for my baby boy.

Why I am a Mormon

I love everything about the gospel of Jesus Christ. My testimony of the gospel has been strengthened in so many ways throughout my life. I have relied on it in the darkest moments of my life and used it in during the brightest. I have always believed the church is true, but I remember well the day it all "clicked". I was at Young Women Camp the summer I turned 17, it was my responsibility to take a large group of twelve year old girls on a hike and teach them what a testimony was. I prepared for weeks before camp, knowing it was coming and I knew I was ready. I taught them everything I knew and everything I was told to cover, I felt the spirit with me as a spoke and prayed the girls felt it too. The next night at testimony meeting I stood in front of the 100 plus girls there and bore my testimony, my heart filled with the spirit and I knew that everything I had just said was true. I know that God lives and he loves me. I know that he gave his only begotten son, Jesus Christ, so I could return to live with him again. I know that Joseph Smith was a boy called of God to restore the church back to the Earth in this dispensation. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet of God here on the Earth today. I know the Book of Mormon is a true testament of Jesus Christ. I have witnessed the power of prayer in my life and I am so grateful for the ability I have to speak to my Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

I teach a group of three children ages 4 and 5. I am amazed every Sunday by their knowledge, spirit, and ability to comprehend. As I prepare my lesson each week I often wonder if I will be able to explain scriptures I sometimes have difficulty understanding, but with the gift of the spirit in our classroom they are always able to understand what is being taught. Often times they explain to me what I am supposed to be teaching them. I learn so much from them each week and I am so grateful to be their teacher. Seeing their love for each other, their families, me, Heavenly Father and their Savior, strengths my testimony every week.
