Hi I'm Ty

I was born in Tennessee. I'm a big brother. I'm a redhead. I'm a future dentist and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in East Tennessee. I have lived there my entire life until I enrolled at BYU. I'm majoring in Exercise Science. I plan on using that by following in the footsteps of my father and going into the dental field. I have been called to serve in the Argentina Mendoza Mission. I love to laugh, spend time with friends and family, and watch movies. My family, friends, and the gospel are everything to me. The Lord has blessed me with some amazing people in my life. I'm so thankful for each and everyone of them and the lessons I have learned from them. I try to be a friend to all and love people how I want to be loved.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ brings so much peace, happiness, and direction into my life. Being a "Mormon" is not just a religion, it's a lifestyle. It's not just something I do on Sundays, Wednesdays, and holidays. It's so much a huge part of who I am that I can't imagine what my life would be like without it. I know that I have a loving Father in Heaven who knows me personally and answers my prayers. He always gives me what I need even if it's not what I want. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Christ's true church on the earth again. He guides His church personally and actively through our modern-day prophet, Thomas S. Monson. I have read the Book of Mormon and I know that it has the power to change lives because it's changed mine. Every time I read it, I feel myself move closer to the Savior and I feel His love in my life more powerfully. I'm a Mormon because I want to be. Because I know that the scriptures contain all the answers to life's greatest questions. I'm a Mormon because I have lived the gospel and I know that it brings me true, everlasting happiness.

How I live my faith

I am currently living my faith by serving a full-time, 2 year mission for the Church in Argentina. This requires me to read and study the scriptures and doctrines of the gospel every day and be prepared to teach them to people who want to learn more. I live my faith by starting and ending each day with a prayer. I kneel before my Father in Heaven and tell Him what's going on in my life and ask for help in my areas of weakness. I live my faith by trying to follow the example of the Savior in how I treat those around me. Quite simply, I live my faith by trying my best to be like our Savior Jesus Christ.
