Hi I'm Josh

I just finished a year of college at Brigham Young University, I'm headed to Indonesia on a mission, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just finished my first year of college, and am currently serving a mission for my church in Indonesia. I love anatomy and biology, and am hoping to become a surgeon of some type. I also really enjoy racket sports, especially racquetball. I'm a fairly random person, and I love random and creative group activities with my friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have received a personal witness that Christ's church has been restored on the earth. Like any member of His Church, we have to work to gain that knowledge. At one point in my life, I realized that I needed to know for myself if this truly was His Church. I could no longer rely on the words of parents and friends to support my faith. I needed to know. I prayed for this knowledge, and it came. As I opened the Book of Mormon, and read about Christ's ministering to the people of ancient America, I felt something that I could not deny. I felt Christ's love for all of God's children. It's a feeling that is hard to convey in words. But nonetheless I knew it was an answer from God. Because of that experience, I determined to do whatever was necessary to follow Him.

How I live my faith

Currently I'm serving a full-time mission. As a missionary, I set aside 2 years so that I can share with others a message that has brought me so much joy. I have deferred college for two years, and have left my family and friends with a knowledge that the Gospel of Jesus Christ can and currently is dramatically changing the lives of families and individuals. As a missionary I spend each day learning and teaching about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It has brought such joy to my life, as I have seen firsthand people turn to Christ and receive the joy that the Gospel of Christ has to offer. I'm excited to continue learning and teaching as I serve among the people of Indonesia, and I hope that I will be able to make some small difference during my short time here.
