Hi I'm Karen

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm married to the best guy in the world!!! I'm a Mom. We have 7 children. 16 grand kids if we count everyone. I specialize at being at the crossroads while my family is coming and going and one could call me the CEO of our home. I enjoy being in the service of others and serving in the Temple. I grew up in Michigan. I love to travel, and I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because back in 1991, 2 young men in white shirts came to the door. My husband at the time, being an (inactive) member, felt it safe to let them in. They shared their message with us. I prayed about the things they said. I knew in my heart it was true. I wanted to know more. I knew the Lord was in control. He puts us where He wants us to be for our growth. My husband said I went from a "party animal" to a "holy roller". It's the best decision I ever made!!!

How I live my faith

Being baptized was great! The church was kind to me and allowed me to grow gradually with callings in nursery and primary while my little ones were there. I made sure I attended church every Sunday. It took 10 years of Gospel Principles, the beginner's Sunday school class before I felt comfortable going to Gospel Doctrine, the more advanced class. I needed to be confident with my knowledge I had of the Mormon faith. Here a little, there a little. All in the Lord's time, not mine. Classes are happening often that give us opportunities to meet with others and to feel we as women belong to something very special. The largest sisterhood in the world. The Lord does not give up on us, I had no intention on giving up on Him either. Whether I'm having a good day or a bad day, it is His will I will do.
