Hi I'm Camron

I was born and raised in Utah, I'm a speech and debate fanatic, I love the theater acting environment, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated high school in 2011. While there I did speech, debate, and drama, along with a mix of snowboarding, boating, golfing, and way too many clubs. Right now I’m visiting Orlando for a couple years. When I get back to the mountains I'm going to go to college at Utah Valley University. There I will study to become something great, where I can help people, but I’m not sure what that is. I love hanging out with friends, and spending time with family.

Why I am a Mormon

You might say I grew up a Mormon. My line of Mormonism goes back a few generations, but I converted to Mormonism as a teenager. For a long time I didn't know why I was a Mormon. I knew a lot of information about the church, and knew the doctrine that was preached, but I didn't feel like I had faith that it was all true. I knew I felt good at times, but I didn't think I had ever felt the Holy Spirit come over my whole body to the point where I knew that someone was putting feeling into my heart. I started to read and pray harder than I ever had before. I didn't feel immediate changes or feelings come over me. The promise in the Book of Mormon from the prophet Moroni says that if we "ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto [us], by the power of the Holy Ghost"(Moroni 10:4). I felt like I was doing my part, I was reading out of the Book of Mormon most days and thought I deserved an answer, but was not getting one from God. I felt like this for over a year and began to be very discouraged. As time went on I learned that God had been answering my prayers in many ways which I later recognized. I learned that I had more faith then I realized and in times of heart ache, or trouble I learned that I could turn to my savior Jesus Christ for support. Since coming to that knowledge I have had many more realizations and experiences that prove I am on the right path and that I am loved by Heavenly Father. I know that God loves me, and that he sent his son Jesus Christ to suffer for my short comings, and faults. I know that Christ has restored his church to the earth today through the prophet Joseph Smith. That church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It is the only church with all of the truths, keys, and priesthood on the earth. I know that proof of these bold claims comes from reading the Book of Mormon with a prayerful heart. I know that if we ask God in faith he will always answer us.

How I live my faith

I currently have the blessed with the opportunity to be a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. I am spending two years away from my home, friends, and family to share the gospel with others. I'm currently serving in the Orlando Florida area and teaching the Spanish people. Our specific purpose is to invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His atonement, repentance, baptize, receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. We teach people the doctrine of the gospel and help them to apply it in their lives. We try to do service projects with in the church and community, study the doctrine so we can answer questions, and help others come closer to Jesus Christ. I love my mission, and have seen so many blessings enter my life because of the service rendered.
