Hi I'm Bailey Thomas

I'm sports enthusiast, I'm an adrenline junky, and best of all I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am one of five boys in the family, I am an uncle, and student athlete who loves different kinds of sports. I participated in snowboarding, baseball, basektball, and football all throughout high school. I was able to play junior college baseball for a season before taking a couple years off. I am soon to going back to school and continue playing baseball again. My new favorite hobbie is skydiving, unfortunately I haven't been able to do it that often. Anything that gets the adreline pumping is where I want to be. I believe laughter is the best way to be happy. Hanging out with friends, telling stories, and laughing is something that never lets me down.

Why I am a Mormon

As John 7:17 says, "If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself" this scripture is why I chose to be Mormon. I have seen the evidence of living the teaching of the restored gospel and also have seen what happens when I don't. My conclusion is I am much happier when I do live the teachings. The blessings that come from living the restored gospel helped me to know that Gospel of Jesus Christ is really from God and that they are true. My testimony has come through experience and has taken much more trial and error than I would have liked, but none the less I know the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true.

How I live my faith

I try to do the simple things everyday such as reading The Book of Mormon and Holy Bible, praying, and giving service. These simple things will bring about many wonderful things in the future.

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

Bailey Thomas
During the ministry of Jesus Christ, established a church, he ordain apostles and gave authority to act in his name and direct the affairs of Christ's church. After the death of Christ these apostles were to carry forth the duties of the church and keep the teachings of Christ pure. The apostles had many struggles trying to keep up to with the rising number of church members as well as the increasing doctrinal impurity. This struggle continued to take place for many years. Eventually many of the apostles were killed off or died. With their death the authority that was given to them from Christ was lost. There was no longer anyone to correct doctrinal impurity and direct the affairs of the church. This was foretold by the prophet Amos. He said, "...there would be a famine in the land, not for bread or for water but of hearing the word of the lord..." (Amos 8: 11-12) For many hundreds of years changes to the doctrine of Christ kept taking place and in order to correct these changes the earth need someone who had authority from Christ to do it. There need to be a return to the truth. For that to happen a restoration was needed. Joesph Smith was the prophet of the restoration who was given that authority to restore Christ's doctrine and church here upon the earth. Show more Show less

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Bailey Thomas
Missionaries will come and share a short message about how God has restored to the truths to the earth, through a living prophet. Truth about God's great plan of salvation and what we must do in this life to prepare to live in His presence again one day. Show more Show less
