Hi I'm Madi Stevens

I am a writer, I love to play video games, reading is one of my greatest passions, and I am a Mormon! :)

About Me

Hi everyone! My name is Madison Stevens (Madi for short). If you are here from Wattpad, hi how are you? You have seen what I can do with writing and now I want to share with you one of my other greatest passions.... My faith!

Why I am a Mormon

Honestly? Because it makes me happy!!! I was born into the church then baptized by my father at the age of eight. The gospel has been such a blessing in my life because I believe that families can be together and I hope to live so that I can be with my family forever. I mean how cool is that? I get to hang out with the same awesome people even after I die? Yes please sign me up! This life is not without trial and temptations but I know that I would not be happy doing anything else and I know I could not find this happiness anywhere else.

How I live my faith

I attend institute on a weekly basis. Institute is a class where myself and other young adults study the scriptures and learn new things about our faith and often strengthen our testimonies and friendships. I have awesome teachers who teach us through the spirit while having fun. I am also an activity planner for the women's society in my ward. Through the gospel I have created some of my strongest friendships and have come to know and love my God and His son.

Who is the Mormon prophet today?

What is faith?

Madi Stevens
Faith is to believe without seeing. Alma describes faith as being to a seed, if it is feed it will grow and swell. If it is left in the dark, it will not grow but will be left in the seed form not growing or progressing in any way. Many people ask, how can you believe without seeing? Well here's my answer that I believe to be true, we are raised when we are young to believe in these things and once we have received a witness for ourselves it becomes engraved in our hearts and minds. People who fall away but have received that spiritual witness will never deny the truth of this church, though they may not be sure of what their purpose here on this earth is. Show more Show less

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Madi Stevens
You can't completely understand the importance of the atonement until you accept the fact that no one is perfect. The savior, Jesus Christ suffered for our sins in the garden of Gethsemane and did what no other mortal could do. He took upon himself the sins of the world and then was crucified on Calvary. The necessity of the Atonement is stated in every day life. We all sin and we all need forgiveness or we would not be able to return to live with our Heavenly Father. The Atonement was a gift freely given to all mankind, as John says in John 3:16, 'For God so loved the world he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life'. Heavenly Father gave us a precious gift, his Son to die for us so that we could return to him. Show more Show less
