Hi I'm Amy

I am a student and a violinist, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am serving as a missionary in the New Jersey Morristown Mission. Before serving a mission, I was studying as a Music Major to be a teacher. I love to play violin and piano, read, and study the scriptures. I have 2 younger Brothers. The Gospel has blessed my life immensely, and I am so excited to have the opportunity to share it with others!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in to the church, but I haven't always had my own testimony. My testimony has flourished in the past 5 years, I have come to know my Savior a lot more and have gained a stronger testimony of the gospel through prayer and scripture study. The biggest challenge that I have faced was moving from Utah to Alabama. I had to gain my own testimony. I had to decide if the Gospel was something I wanted to live, or if I wanted to follow the rest of the crowd and stray from the things I had always been taught. I have since found that this gospel is the best thing that I could ever be a part of. It is the biggest blessing that I could have ever been blessed with. It makes me happy, and I know that others see that. I hope that you can find the peace and happiness that I have found in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I play the piano for our congregation on Sundays, and I love it. Music is a way that I am able to share my testimony, especially when words cannot convey the way I feel. I work as a lifeguard, and I love any opportunity to share the blessing of the gospel. I participate in the youth program at church, and through it have gained lifelong friends. It gives me strength to know that there are other youth striving to uphold such high standards.

Are Mormons Christians?

Amy
Absolutely! Jesus Christ is the center of our religion. He is the most important aspect of it, and we are led by him. It is even proclaimed in our name,"The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints". Show more Show less
