Hi I'm Kade Costley

I grew up on a baseball field, in a farm town and now i'm in the big city. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Baseball was my life, Saturdays were the highlight of my week. as we traveled park to park from diamond to diamond. Nothing could compare to hitting the ball out of the park, or striking out that last batter to win the game. Until I found joy in my life that I never knew I had. Now i know that being a Member of this church brings true happiness. I found that the hole in my heart I had as I walked away from baseball was filled as I became active in the gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

True Happiness is knowing that no matter what you do Christ's Atonement can heal your broken heart. True Happiness is constant peace that comes as you strive each day to try and become a better person. True Happiness is knowing that you and your family can be together forever. True Happiness is knowing that this life isn't the end, and that if we do all that we can we may enter into the Kingdom of God and receive life eternal. For me my testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ didn't come all at once, it came piece by piece. I like to liken it to a bundle of sticks. I would have experiences in my life that were profound and very spiritual but at first they stood alone and individually they were easy to discredit or deny -one or two sticks are easy to break- but as I pieced the whole puzzle together and combined all the times I read scriptures and they spoke to my soul or the times when I would really be down and the lord would send a helping hand or times when the spirit would be so strong that I felt an abundance of joy! These experiences helped me strengthen my testimony stick by stick to the point that I couldn't deny that the Lord had played a vital part in my life. True Happiness is what I feel! The gospel illuminates me soul with joy and happiness! It is happiness that is greater than any sports victory, any amount of money, any thing that is on this earth. I know that Christ lives and that this is his church! That is why I am a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I am a Missionary for the Church and I currently serve in the California, San Diego Mission. As a Missionary my purpose is to invite all to come unto Christ by helping others receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and his atonement, repentance, baptism, The Gift of the Holy Ghost and Enduring to the end. This is a two year calling in which I devote all my time, talents, and attention to the lord. By serving him with all my might, mind and strength. Being a Full-time missionary makes the gospel come alive! The moment that my testimony was solidified was the moment that I felt gods spirit radiate as I taught the gospel. It is a feeling of indescribable joy, which burns within you! From a worldly aspect, people can't fathom why a 19 year old boy would leave his friends, girls, music, television, sports, video games, movies...ect and go to a place where he knows no one and teach them about something that he knows little to nothing about. but from my perspective my mission has CHANGED MY LIFE FOREVER and I wouldn't have it any other way, Christ is the only constant in this ever decaying world and Christ is the reason for why I am out here serving. Everyday miracles happen because the hand of the lord is reaching out to lift up the humble and the meek! I am so blessed to be out here in sunny San Diego and witness these miracles unfold. I give you the invitation from the the famous hymn "We Are All Enlisted" to "come join the ranks" it will change your life!
