Hi I'm Kalawaianui Nakoa

I'm athletic, funny, I love my family, playing football and serving a full time mission in San Diego California I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am the oldest of 4 kids in my family and I'm the first one in my family to serve a mission. I grew up in Utah most of my life, and i spent most of my youth in the gym training for football with my Dad, and spending time with my family and friends. Some of the things that i really enjoy doing is playing my Ukulele, Guitar, messing around on the piano, relaxing with my family and Training in the gym. When a trial comes into my life and i need a place to think, pray, and relax i will either hit the gym to relieve any stress it may be causing or i will go hiking in the Mountains and go to a place where i can ponder and pray about how i can over come the trial, but when winter comes around snowboarding is one of the perfect ways to let go of the stress and...that will end up with me praying that i don't hit a tree and break my face.

Why I am a Mormon

The reason why i am a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is because i was born in the church. Many people have asked me the question why are you a member of that church, my answer to their question is my testimony of the the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Having been born in the church many people think that i didn't have to do some searching on what church/doctrin i wanted to follow, for many people yes they didn't have to but for me i did. I wanted to know for myself if this is the church i should be attending, so what i did was really ponder in my heart about the things that were being taught and i prayed and read the Book of Mormon to know if it was true or not. As i did my search and prayed to my Father in Heaven i got my answer one day when i was reading in the Book of Mormon and acted on the promise that i read. I was reading in the book of Moroni in the Book of Mormon Chapter 10:3-5 and it was a promise given that whoever reads these things and ponders in their hearts about the things they had recieved and prayed about it having faith in Christ the power of the Holy Ghost would manifest the truth of it unto you. As i acted on that promise i did recieve my answer to if i shoud be attending this church and i cannot deny what i had felt, it was the best feeling i had ever had.

How I live my faith

The way i live and show my Faith is by lifing the gospel standards and endurning to the end. I also show it by trying to live a Christ like life and it can be hard some times, and other times its really easy to live a Christ like life. I try to help as many people as possible no matter what it may be. For example if someone wanted help with their yard i'd help them or if they needed help moving, just stuff like that and i really enjoy doing that and its always a plus when you can see the smile on their face when its done and for the help that you have given them.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

The missionaries will talk about how you can apply the teachings of the gospel of Jesus Christ as a foundation for the family unit to help build stronger relationships with one another. They will also talk about how your can strengthen your faith in Jesus Christ and his Atonement, our Heavenly Father's plan of salvation and how to overcome addictions that you may be struggling to over come. They will also talk about the where the The Book Of Mormon came from and how the teachings within the pages of it can help you come closer to your savior, they can also help you increase your knowledge of the gospel by having bible studies, and having them teach you more about the gospel of Jesus Christ. In whom should we have faith?

Kalawaianui Nakoa
In order for us to come back to live with our Father in Heaven again we must first learn to develop Faith in our Savior Jesus Christ. When Jesus Christ was on this earth his mission was not only to set up his church and teach the principals of Salvation, but to make it possible for us to repent of our sins and mistakes by giving his life for us so that we too could come back and live with the Father. "Wherefore, if ye have sought to do wickedly in the days of your probation, then ye are found unclean before the judgment-seat of God; and no unclean thing can dwell with God; wherefore, ye must be cast off forever." (1nephi 10:21). In order for us to repent of our sins we must have Faith in Jesus Christ and his Atonement , Faith in god is not a theoretical belief in him but what it does mean to have faith in God is to Trust him, have Confidence in him that he is there for us. We also need to be humble enough to act on our believe in him no matter what the situation is or where we are. We come back to our Loving Heavenly Father by having faith in his son Jesus Christ.
