Hi I'm Megan

I'm a Hairstylist. I never wear matching socks. I'm happy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm just an ordinary girl! I'm married to the love of my life, and I worked in a salon to put him through school. It was rough! But we made it. Now we are plugging along doing normal things! I love to curl up in a comfy chair and read...I could read for hours! I love doing crafts (which sounds super cliche), and it helps me relieve stress. I love being outside, and camping, especially with my family. I cut hair at my salon on a daily basis. I would go insane if I couldn't cut hair! Now, we are starting a family. I can't wait to be a Mom! It's going to be a crazy, wonderful, exciting adventure.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church....I've always had a strong testimony of the Gospel. I've come to notice that there isn't a whole lot of happiness in this world. It's a scary place! But, I know that we are here to be happy. That's not always the easiest thing to be. Trials happen. Heartache happens. Life happens! But, I know that through the Atonement, and by trying our hardest to be happy, we will be. The Gospel makes me happy! It makes me happy because I know that my Heavenly Father and my Savior love me. They know me by name. They know ME! The Book of Mormon makes me happy every time I read and study it's pages! I know that what is in the Book of Mormon was written by prophets of old for this day and time, and that it was translated by Joseph Smith. The Book of Mormon makes me happy because I can find comfort within it's pages, and it testifies of the living Savior. I know that we have a prophet on this earth today. THAT is amazing. President Thomas S. Monson speaks to God. He is here to lead and guide us. How wonderful is that?! God is not dead! He speaks to our prophet. That gives me hope for the future in this scary world. I know that Prayer is a very real form of communication with God. He listens to our prayers, both silent and spoken. I know that when I have nowhere else to turn God will always be there to listen and to help. Knowing that I will always have this line of communication makes me happy. I KNOW that families can be together forever. What an amazing blessing! My marriage to my sweet husband is not "til death do you part"....It's for eternity! That makes me the happiest girl in the world. My happiness in this life is all thanks to this wonderful Gospel, and to my Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that Christ suffered in the Garden for ME. He conquered death and sin. Because of him, I can be happy. I am so blessed to be a part of this Gospel! Happiness...That is one of the reasons why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

In the past, I've helped plan activities for youth (I did this as a youth!). I've participated in so many musical groups, and performed for worship services. Music brings such a sweet spirit to worship services. Right now, I am a Den Leader for the 9 year old Cub Scouts. These sweet boys have so many questions about life in general, and I love being able to help them grow and learn! One of my favorite things to do is called Visiting Teaching. I have the opportunity to go with another sister and visit other women in our ward. We get to know each other, share our testimonies of the Gospel, make, serve one another, and become good friends.
