Hi I'm Erik

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student. Undecided major (Exercise science or Physiology). Love sports. Outdoors are great. Tennis player. Novak Djokavich fan. Returned from serving as missionary in south Texas. Spanish speaker. Food lover. Butterfinger craver. Guitar and piano player. Eagle scout. Active church goer. Crohn's disease carrier. I love to read books and learn about history. Listen to any type of music except country. Spending time with family and friends is always enjoyable. I would love to travel the world and learn every language possible. Life couldn't be better.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of this church and continuing to be active and participate in it, is a decision that I personally have chosen, and something that I have seen bless and change my life. I am a mormon, because I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that this is His church. That is something that I had to seek out on my own and really find out if it is right or wrong. Being a mormon has helped me more fully understand who God is, what is my relationship with Him, and what He expects of me. I have come to understand how meaningful and precious the time we have in this life is. I have seen blessings in my individual and family life, blessings of more love, more unity, more peace of mind, and a greater sense of belonging. Through being a member of this church I have come to know how I can follow Jesus Christ and receive the blessings of being able to live with Heavenly Father again. I am a mormon because I have read the Book of Mormon:Another Testament of Jesus Christ. Through reading this book of holy scripture, I have come closer to God and learned that God loves all of His children, and has since the world began. Anyone who reads, ponders, and prays to know if the Book of Mormon is true will also be able to gain a testimony of it's truth and divinity. I am a mormon because I know it is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday by trying to do what the Savior would do. I go out to serve and help others everyday, to strive to live better lives and feel God's love. I frequently share my testimony with others of how God has blessed my life and how they too can receive blessings from God. Whenever service is needed I go and help. I encourage others to follow Jesus Christ. I go to church every week and participate in the classes and meetings. Apart from always helping others, I personally pray and study the scriptures everyday to become more knowledgable of the word of God. This helps build my own testimony, but also when needed I can share a scripture with someone who is looking for peace or counsel.
