Hi I'm Bekka Fogle

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm just about to finish my degree in English Education after I student teach in the fall and I couldn't be more excited! I love to teach and to see how excited my students can get about learning. I'm currently on an internship working at the Walt Disney World Resort and I'm having the time of my life!

Why I am a Mormon

I was so blessed to be born to parents who made the choice to join the church, but I made the decision myself to continue to follow the Lord's gospel. When I first started college, like many others, I went through a little bit of a rough patch, I was trying to figure out who I was and it was a hard time. However, with the Lord's help, I was able to see that I am a child of my Heavenly Father and that He loves and cares for me as long as I put my faith in Him.

How I live my faith

I am deeply touched by music in my life. I love to sing and listen to all kinds of music, but one of my favorite parts of church services is being able to show my love and faith in my Savior and Heavenly Father through the hymns of the church. I love being able to share my testimony through song. One of my favorite hymns is "Jesus, the Very Thought of Thee" and I'd like to share the lyrics here: Jesus, the very thought of thee with sweetness fills the breast; but sweeter far thy face to see, and in thy presence rest. O hope of every contrite heart, O joy of all the meek, to those who fall, how kind thou art! How good to those who seek! But what to those who find? Ah, this nor tongue nor pen can show; the love of Jesus, what it is, none but his loved ones know. Jesus, our only joy be thou, as thou our prize wilt be; Jesus, be thou our glory now, and through eternity. When I hear hymns like this one, I know that my Savior lives and that through His example I can live with my Heavenly Father again someday.

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

Bekka Fogle
Absolutely we believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God! As Christians, we believe that Jesus Christ suffered for our sins in the Garden of Gethsemane and then died for us on the cross. It is such an immense blessing for me to know that Christ is my Savior and that he died for me and that no matter what I'm going through, no matter how hard it may seem to me, He is the one person that can completely understand how I feel because he's already been through it for me. I have a lot of health issues, and the knowledge that I can turn to Christ for comfort and strength is a blessing for which I am eternally grateful. Show more Show less
