Hi I'm Jalen

I'm a Mormon. I was born in Provo, UT, and ended up in Mountain Home, ID. I am currently headed out to serve a mission in Europe.

About Me

I was born in Provo, UT, where my parents were attending school. I grew up trying out different sports, but my love was soccer. I enjoy reading and I love spending time with family and friends. I am a member of the Boy Scouts of America, and I am proud to be an Eagle Scout. I recently finished my first year of college back in my birthplace of Provo, continuing my family legacy. I am headed out to serve a mission in Europe, and I am so excited to serve the Lord for two years.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was born to a family that realized the blessings that come from our church, and from following Jesus Christ. Of course, it is a personal choice for everyone as to whether or not we want to be obedient to the standards of the church, and I chose to do so. I have the greatest family and friends who have set excellent examples to me, and I would never want to disappoint them or my Heavenly Father. Through this gospel, you never have to feel alone or unloved in your life. I know that through Jesus Christ, we can all be forgiven of our sins and become clean on our journey to one day become like Christ.

How I live my faith

I was an active participant in the youth group at church, and we met every Wednesday to do activities and learn more about the church. At college, I was asked to teach in my church ward, and it was a wonderful experience. I try to live so that anyone I meet can tell that I am happy with my life, and the choices I am making. It is a daily task, and it requires a lot of faith on my part, because life is rarely perfect. However, living the standards of the church brings happiness that no other lifestyle can bring, and I try to show that through my example.
