Hi I'm Nga

im from auckland, at the age of 16 i joined the church of jesus christ of latter day saints, so yeah im a mormon.

About Me

i am a person that loves the outdoors, who enjoys the company of others and is easy to always have a laugh with. I've lived in New Zealand most of my life and can say there is an adventure around every corner and under every rock. my hobbies and interests include playing any type of sport from rugby to soccer, to even baseball. i consider myself a person who ain't afraid to try something new, something different but to give it a go no matter what the outcome. i also enjoy gathering in groups, and participating in sing-a-along activities, and not being ashamed of the talents we are given, whether it is to sing, to play an instrument or even tell jokes. i am serving as a missionary in Samoa for the next 24 months.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother was a convert and when my parents divorced, dad won custody over the kids. Communication was cut between us kids and our mum, so for many years i went to a Presbyterian church not knowing of the answers to the questions i had, the questions i know everyone wants to know the answer to. Questions like, 'why are we here' and 'where do we go to after we die'. These questions haunted my mind for years, then a couple of years i got into contact with my mum and being at the the legal age to make my own decisions i visited her and during my visit she took me to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where i seemed to feel something inside telling me that this is where i should be. i learnt that this feeling after many discussions with the missionaries was the holy spirit. with the help of the spirit i was able to know that the church was true that the book of Mormon is in fact knowledge, inspiration and revelation shown unto Joseph smith by our heavenly father. I know that with the gospel in my life my family can be eternal, i know this to be true for I've seen changes and I've felt changes in my life and i know others out there can feel the same peace and joy that the gospel brings when being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, i know that Heavenly Father loves us and we are his children, and like most parents he wants the best for us. We can show our appreciation by praying to know that these things are true.

How I live my faith

i am involved in setting up activities for our ward to partake in. activities where everyone can be themselves and have fun. for me knowing that Heavenly Father loves me is important enough to know that by following the commandments i am showing my appreciation for all the blessings i receive from him, and that by following the commandments i can find true happiness in life. God knows everyone by name, he knows of our strengths and our weaknesses.
