Hi I'm Andrew

I'm a Mormon. I was born and raised in Montreal Quebec. I am a business owner, husband and father of four daughters.

About Me

I am a father of four beautiful daughters and have been married to my lovely wife for 27 years. My wife and I met shortly after I served a two year mission for my church in France. We were married in Washington DC in the LDS temple for time and all eternity. I have worked with the same organization for 27 + years. In 2005 I purchased a number of franchises that became available with the company I was working for. I have been a business owner since that time. It has been very rewarding and a great learning experience. I enjoy sports , hockey being one of my favorites. The Montreal Canadians have been my team since ..... forever! Go Habs GO ! I also enjoy camping and still tent it regularly with my family. Our favorite camping destination is Southern Maine and have plans to be there this summer. The water may be cold but the Northern beauty makes up for the bone chilling water conditions. I also enjoy traveling having visited many parts of Canada, USA, Europe, Mexico and the Islands of the Caribbean. Oh and yes Golf I play golf or should I say try and play. It is another favorite past time although I have yet to convert any of my family to the merits of a great round of golf.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church most of my life. I love the Lord and am grateful to him for the plan of happiness he has for us all. I know that families can be together forever through this wonderful plan. My wife and I were married in the Washington temple for time and all eternity and our family can be together beyond this life if we are true and faithful to the sacred covenants we made in the temple almost 27 years ago. I know that we are children of a Heavenly Father that loves us and that we lived with him as brothers and sisters before we came to this world. I know that this life is a time for us to prepare to return to him, to learn , grow and to serve his children. I also know that when our life mission is complete we will have the blessing of being reunited with loved ones and with our heavenly parents forever if we have proven worthy of that great blessing. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints contains all of the direction and guidance we need to succeed in that endeavor.

How I live my faith

I am so impressed with how the organization of the church allows each member to grow and develop through service. My service began at a very young age when as a young 13 year old priesthood holder I had the chance to pass the sacrament to the members of my congregation. As I got older my duties also increased. At the age of 19 I was called to serve a full time two year mission to Toulouse France. It was such an amazing time of personal and spiritual growth. Missionaries volunteer for this labour of love and do so without monetary compensation. As a matter of fact my mission cost me nearly ten thousand dollars. It was the best investment I have ever made and the returns on that investment continue to bless my life to this day. The things I learned on my mission are not taught in any institution of higher learning. It laid a foundation for my future and continuing church service. Missionaries typically work between 60-75 hours a week and spend a great deal of their time teaching the principals of our doctrines. Many of our missionaries learn new languages and experience different cultures. Since my mission I have served as President of the Young Men in the Montreal area, I have served as Bishop of a congregation of 200+ members, I have served as a Sunday School teacher , and an early morning scripture study teacher. I currently serve as a counselor in a Young Single Adult congregation. I do not remember a time when I did not have something to do. My church is a church of activity. It is a church where members serve members and we are encouraged to serve our community. I have been involved with the scouting program for more than 20 years. We believe that when we serve our fellow beings we are really in the service of our God.
