Hi I'm Bobbie Raye Walsh

I'm a Mormon. I converted about 10 years ago and am so blessed to have been given the opportunity to be a part of this church.

About Me

I was born in Las Vegas, Nevada , and lived there most of my life. I have 5 sisters and 0 brothers. I am a divorced single mother of 3 children, 2 boys and 1 girl. I moved about 3 years ago from Las Vegas to Overton, which is a small town around 60 miles from Las Vegas. All of my children were baptized there in 2011 in which I am very proud of that. I have been through many obsticles in my life and with the Lords help I have made it! I enjoy hanging out with my children and doing things that improve ones self or ones home. Recently I have learned about farming and really enjoy doing all there is to do at the farm. I am not much of an outside person but I really love being down on the farm helping. Most people say I am a very positive person and am fun to hang out with.

Why I am a Mormon

I became mormon almost 10 years ago. Although I was raised in a strict Christian/ Baptist household I found myself thinking that because of the bad choices in life I had made that they could not forgive me and in this i became terrified of the church. I always knew something was lacking in my life and always wanted to go to church but could never really feel comfortable in some or most churches. It was not until 2002 that some missionaries were bycling in my neighbor hood and I offered them some water and they accepted. That was the start of my relationship with this amazing church. I love all the wards I have been a part of and have always felt like I belonged. There are so many wonderful people who are LDS and I am very proud and greatful that I was blessed with The Church of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I try to be involved as much as I can and make sure that my children know the importance of keeping the Sabbath Day and doing church activities. I attend Relief Society Events and my children attend Mutual and Boyscouts. My daughter is going to EFY this summer and am so proud of her for makoing good decisions.
