Hi I'm Carolyn

"I grew up in the US. I'm a mother and educated as a teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

"I'm a mother and homemaker. I enjoy reading, gardening, crocheting, crafts of all kinds and our beautiful world. I am a Master Gardener and Master Preserver.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon family and was taught about Jesus Christ and His Gospel. In my teens, I had a great desire to know for myself if it was true or gain a testimony. I believed that it was true. I stood up in a testimony meeting in which I said that I knew that it was true and I had a warm feeling encompass my whole body from head to toe. I knew that I had a testimony of Jesus Christ and His Gospel and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is His church. I have found that living the Gospel is a great strength in my life. It brings joy, comfort, and peace to me each day. I am thankful for modern-day prophets and our prophet today, President Thomas S. Monson who leads us in the way Jesus wants. I am thankful for temples in which I can have an eternal marriage and family if I live worthily. It is a life-long process of learning, serving and trying to become more like my Savior, Jesus Christ and returning to live with Him and my Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I visit my neighbors to get to know them and become friends so that I can help them if they need it. I enjoy associating with people. I also have kept track of events during the year such as births of babies, deaths and marriages, etc., in our neighborhood and wrote a short history at the end of the year. I enjoy singing with others in a choir for our meetings. I lead hymns because singing hymns brings such a special spirit to church meetings. I have also helped individuals with gardening and canning or preserving the food that they grow for future use. Through the years, I have enjoyed working in many other activities in my church.
