Hi I'm Mike

I am a grateful husband, expecting father, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love my family. I seriously have the best family I could ever ask for. My mom would always say that our family puts the 'fun' in dis'fun'ctional, but I loved us for that. It is never by mistake or by coincidence that we are placed in the families that we have, no matter what the circumstances are. I believe that I was placed in my family because I would be surrounded by the people and circumstances that would help me grow the most. We have had our trials, just as every family does. And because I learned and grew from the moments of trials and the moments of triumph, I know what kind of family member I want to be. I love my wife with all that I am and look forward to our family growing. My wife's family is pretty cool too, and I'm glad I feel at home with them too. I believe that whatever you are, you should be a good one. I love dogs. I love being outdoors. I love going off-roading. I love being out in the middle of nowhere at night and admiring the stars in the sky. I love playing in the snow. I love learning new things. And I love that because of Jesus Christ, I can be a better person every day.

Why I am a Mormon

You never know if something is good or not until you have honestly tried it. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I have tested what it teaches. I know that what it teaches is true. This church truly is the same church that Christ established during his earthly ministry, and it is guided by him today. I know that because I have read the Book of Mormon and tasted of the good it brings into my life. The Book of Mormon compliments the Bible and expounds on its teachings. It provides answers to all of life's questions. I am a mormon because when I follow the teachings of this church, I feel myself growing closer to my Savior, closer to my family, and closer to what God designed me to become. The true teachings of Jesus Christ change people for the better, strengthen families and marriages, and help us to forget about ourselves and focus on strengthening and serving others. Why wouldn't I want to be a part of this?

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being happy. I live my faith by trusting in the cleansing power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Jesus suffered every pain, sorrow, sickness, feeling of guilt, and every affliction that any person on this earth has and will ever experience, so that I would not have to dwell on mine. I live my faith by learning from the mistakes I have made in the past, striving not to make the same mistakes again, and moving forward with a brighter hope for the future. I live my faith by forgiving others for not being perfect either, and by trying not to dwell on their mistakes or inconsideration. I live my faith by trying to learn all I can about the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, and striving to follow His example. I live my faith by taking time out my my day to communicate to my Father in Heaven. I have seen my prayers answered so many times and in so many ways. I have learned that when I have a more specific prayer, I receive a more specific answer. I live my faith by striving to serve others when opportunities arise, by loving my family and those around me, and by standing up for what is right, even when it isn't popular. I live my faith by being loyal to that which I know is true.
