Hi I'm Mikolaj Szypkowski

I grew up in Poland, moved to Canda with my family and am a middle child with 1 older brother and 1 younger sister. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read books, especially fantasy and mystery ones. When I'm not reading, I'm usually outside riding a four-wheeler, riding horses or practicing archery. I love dogs, horses, not a very big cat person but I can live with them. I love Mac's, Apple is just so much easier to operate, but Windows has its advantages as well so I don't argue (much) about which one's better. I'm planning on attending University to become a professor of English, and Chemistry or Math or something in that area. If not that then maybe study in the health field.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the faith of my parents. I'd always go to church with them, but since we lived far out in the country we were only able to make it out there once a month. Nevertheless, my parents were always sure to teach me about the Gospel at home, and not only that but live it as best as they can to teach me by example. Because of us moving a lot in my childhood years it was hard to make a lot of friends and keep them since I kept changing schools and moving from country to country, so I learned to rely on the Jesus Christ and his Gospel to keep me going. I always knew that even if I lived too far away from friends or if I was leaving some behind, I always had Christ in my life and I could rely on his support. In my teenage years I was going through an especially difficult time in high-school and I was feeling very alone. I really wanted to know for sure that no matter what happened in my life, the Savior would always be there for me and that I could call on His help at any time or trial in my life. I read the Book of Mormon. After reading it and praying about it, there was no doubt in my mind that it really was the word of God, that Joseph Smith really did restore the Gospel of Jesus Christ again on this Earth and that we have His (Jesus Christ's) Authority again on the Earth to perform Baptisms and blessings and miracles, and all manner of ordinances as did the Prophets of old. Because of this Faith, my family has been able to always find a home no matter where we went or in what financial status we were in. We always knew that we could rely on the members of the church no matter in what part of the world we were in, and that God would always be there directing our paths. I'm so glad that I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I know that this is true, and that if I stay on the right path, I'll one day be able to live with my family forever after this life.

How I live my faith

I help invite my friends to join the Youth activities, and be a good friend. I help organize some activities along with other people for camping trips or canoe trips and camps and stuff, or if it's just a small group of people we can hang out at my house and have a barbecue and invite other's to listen to the message of the Restoration of the Gospel while spending time together. I like to share my beliefs with my friends and am always willing to help out anyone in need if they ask me to do so. I try to live my life according to Christ's example and support of uplift those in need.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Mikolaj Szypkowski
You could have read the Book of Mormon countless times, but you can't just read it until you're blue in the face and expect it to verify itself to you. You have to do something about it. After you've read it and thought it through, you must kneel down before your Heavenly Father and ask Him for yourself to manifest to you, through the power of the Holy Ghost, that what is written is indeed the truth. You must exercise faith to Pray and ask Him if these things are really what He wants for you and if this indeed is the truth. If you do it with a sincere heart, really wanting to find out if this is God's will for you and your family, He WILL answer you. (Doctrine and Covenants 82:10) He promised so. God, of all beings, always keeps His promises. Show more Show less
