Hi I'm Brittany Jensen

I'm a Mormon and I'm proud of it!

About Me

I am a short blonde girl who loves to have fun! I go to Brigham Young University, where I am majoring in Early Childhood Education. I hope to someday be a kindergaten teacher. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I love nature, especially the mountains. I love thunderstorms and blooming flowers. I love hiking, swimming, canoeing and playing football. I appreciate organization, although I’m not an organized person. I enjoy listening to the ocean waves, singing songs, and facing new challenges. I am passionate about cooking. I love finding and trying new recipes, as well as creating my own. I am crazy about music. Singing is one of the greatest joys in my life! I love dancing in the rain, lying in the street, and staying up late eating ice cream with my cousin. I have a dream of some day being a kindergarten teacher and/or starting my own preschool. My all-time favorite thing to do is spend time with my family. I love serenity and chaos. I'm thankful for each day that I have to enjoy this beautiful world we've been blessed with and to learn and grow. I love life!

Why I am a Mormon

Life is not an easy thing. There always seems to be something keeping us from reaching true happiness. And guess what? There is! Satan wants us to be miserable. He wants to keep us from finding happiness and from doing what is right. That's why life is hard; because Satan wants to trap us. However, even when life is hard, we can usually find something that we are grateful for or some little light at the end of the tunnel that we can hold on to. For me, the light at the end of the tunnel is my Savior, Jesus Christ. I don't see Him. I don't even audibly hear Him. But, I know He is there. How do I know He is there? Because I've felt His Spirit in times of trial. But, what is the Spirit and how do I know that I've felt it? In Galatians 5:22 it says "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith". This is how we know if we are feeling God in our lives. If something brings us joy and peace and encourages us to be gentle and good than it is of God. The message of Jesus Christ is one that brings happiness. It is the light at the end of the tunnel. It is the puzzle piece that has been missing for years. I have found peace and comfort through the knowledge that I have a Father in Heaven who knows me individually. Because of the Atonement of Christ, when He took upon Himself the sins, pains and trials of every person, I know that Jesus Christ is there for me in hard times. Throughout my life I have seen His guiding and supportive hand. My life hasn't been easy, but because I know that there is a God who loves me, I've been able to endure my challenges with His help. Life is meant to be a joyful thing. Our trials are here for us to show our Heavenly Father that we will remain strong and turn to Him for help. I know that Jesus Christ lives and loves me. I know that He loves you. He wants you to be happy; forever!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by the way that I treat others. As I serve others I feel Heavenly Father's love for me and for them. I also work a lot with little children, helping and reminding them that they are loved and being watched over by angels. Children are special to the Lord!
