Hi I'm Alli

I grew up in UT but have since lived in HI, VA, and NC. I love seeing new places and meeting new people. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife and mother of 6 children. I was born and raised in South Jordan, Utah. I attended college at BYU-Hawaii and now live in the South and love it (all except the Summer humidity!). I am an independent, head strong girl who loves to travel, play in the yard with my kids, and spend time with my husband of 13 years. I love being a stay-at-home mom and wouldn't change that even though I don't love all the cleaning, dishes and laundry that it entails. But hey, no job is perfect!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised by strong LDS parents. I feel that my testimony and devotion to my religion started as a young child and has only strengthened and grown as I have gotten older. After I graduated from High School and went to college I had to decide for myself if I wanted to obey God's commandments and continue living my life as I had been taught. Although there were times I was tempted to not stay the course, I always knew that I must. Whenever I made mistakes, I knew that I was disappointing God, not my parents or friends. I knew that God was real, I knew I could pray to Him for help, I knew that He had a plan for me. His plan for me consisted of becoming a wife and mother and having much joy through this as well as enduring many times of trials that became opportunities of spiritual growth for me. I am a Mormon because I know that Heavenly Father is real, that His son Jesus Christ did atone for our sins, that the Holy Ghost can be our constant companion, that the Book of Mormon is indeed true scripture, and that we do have a living prophet today. I know my life is so blessed and full because of my membership in His church. My life is not perfect, but my knowledge of God and His plan bring me hope and happiness.

How I live my faith

I have served in many areas of our church. I've worked with the children ages 18 months to 11 years, the young women ages 12-18, and I currently work in our program for the women of our church. I am inspired by the wonderful women around me. I see the struggles and trials they push through in life and the way they rely on the Lord through these difficult times. It makes me want to be a better person, friend, and daughter of God. I'm grateful for the opportunity I have to serve in our church - it gives me many opportunities for personal growth and helps me turn to my Heavenly Father for guidance.
