Hi I'm Brady from Ammon, Idaho

I have lived in Idaho my entire life. I am a firefighter who is going back to college to finish my degree. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the father of four kids, two boys and two girls. I have been married to my gorgeous high school sweetheart for almost 22 years. My oldest son is currently serving a mission for our church. He is doing great. I work for a local fire department and am going back to college to finish my degree in Environmental Science. I am nervous, but excited for the new adventure. I am grateful to have a good job in today's economy. I served a mission for our church years ago in South Africa and loved it. I love to hike, camp, hunt, fish, and most of all, spend time with my beautiful family. I love to watch my kids in their various activities. I love to read a good book and listen to good music. Eighties music is not classic rock! I really enjoy riding my motorcycle and enjoy the beautiful sights we have in Idaho. I have amazing parents, a stud for a big brother, and a beautiful older sister. I have been blessed with amazing in-laws. My wife's family is great. We all have a blast when we get together. Spending time with all of my friends and family brings me real joy!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church my entire life. My parents have been great examples to me and have shown me how to live a Christlike life. I love the values the church teaches me. I love knowing that families can be together forever. I love growing closer to my wife each day and look forward to spending all of eternity with her. I love the support I receive from the members of my local ward. They are great friends to me and my family and they help me to want to be a better husband, father, and follower of Christ. I love how the church is organized. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is truly Christ's church on the earth today. I know that the heavens are opened and that we have a living prophet on the earth to day. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and it stands together with the Bible to bring a person closer to God. I know that this life has a purpose. I know that we will all live again. I love my Savior, Jesus Christ, and I am not afraid to tell others.

How I live my faith

I have an opportunity to visit with four wonderful families every month and provide special assistance to them. It is great to bring my son along with me each month. It helps us to grow closer to each other. We have great visits with our families and love talking of Christ and his wonderful gospel. Giving service to others makes me feel happy and it helps me to forget myself. When you are in the service of your fellow being, you are only in the service of your God. I love having opportunities preparing talks and lessons to share with other men who are experiencing the same trials I am. It is fun to learn of things to do better, or to not do certain things. I like learning from people who have more experience than me. Going to church is like placing a log on a burning fire. When I am with the other members of our ward, I feel the burning love of the gospel and I always want to do better. I know that I make mistakes every day and going to church helps me to repent and be forgiven.
