Hi I'm Caren

I was born in California and moved to Arkansas when I was 10. I am a mother of 4 children, a homemaker and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay-at-home mom. I have 4 children. I love the opportunities that come with being a parent. I enjoy reading good books, travelling, shopping, being with good friends, and laughing with my family. I love the gospel! It brings joy and peace to my life. I gives me hope in the future.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Jesus Christ's true church restored to the earth today. I am a Mormon because as I live by the teachings that are taught I feel peace and happiness and I know that it is right. It has helped me recognize that we are all children of God. Knowing this helps me feel love for others despite the many differences we all have. I am a Mormon because I believe that Thomas S. Monson is a true and living prophet on the earth today who receives revelation. This revelation is for us today, it can lead us through rough times and help us find true happiness right now. I am a Mormon because it is the best way to live and be happy!

How I live my faith

Because I am a Mormon I go to church every Sunday for 3 hours! Some people may think that sounds like a long time, but actually, as I sit in the classes, I find the time goes by so quickly. I love to attend church! The people that attend each week are happy to be there as well. One way I live my faith is by striving to keep the sabbath day holy. There are many good things to do on the Sabbath that can show Heavenly Father our gratitude for His goodness. One of those ways is attending church, singing, paying tithes and offerings, participating in lessons and partaking of His sacrament each week. I try to keep Sunday a special day by not working in the yard, swimming, shopping, going to the movies or participate in sporting events. Visiting family members or someone sick and in need are other good things to do on Sundays to keep it a special day. I feel that on 6 days of the week I have the opportunity to work and do things that need to be done, but that Heavenly Father has given us the Sabbath, and that it is meant to be different. It should be used as a reminder, a refreshment, and a refinement. Also, we can worship and give praise to a loving Father and Son. We need that one day to rest and rejuvinate our bodies and our spirits. There are reasons for all of the commandments, they still apply today! That's just one way I try to live my faith.
