Hi I'm Tyler Langford

I am serving right now as a full-time Missionary in the California Roseville Mission. I'm 21 years old and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Tyler and a 20 year old kid. I say “kid” because that’s the best word to describe me. I love to mess around and do fun things with my friends. By far, my favorite thing to do is play basketball. I love to play whenever I get the chance. I love playing with my brother and showing him who’s boss! I was born in California but I moved to Kentucky when I was younger so Kentucky is where I call home. Currently, I’m back in California doing something even more fun than basketball… Being a full-time Missionary. It’s the best thing I have ever done!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the LDS faith, but just like everyone else I had to figure out for myself the truth. As a little kid, I always liked hearing stories about Jesus Christ and other Bible and Book of Mormon heroes. It was always cool to hear about them and the faith they had. I wanted faith like that. I wanted to be able to move a mountain with my faith. As a kid everyone wants to do that I’m sure. When I was 12 years old I wanted to turn my belief into knowledge. It was something good to believe but was it really true. I read the Book of Mormon for the first time. I wasn’t soaking it all in but I tried really hard to know of the truth. “Heavenly Father, is this more than just a good book, is it your word?” I would pray as sincere as a 12 year old could pray. I knew he would answer me if I really wanted to know, and I truly did want to know. I got my answer. I didn’t understand all that I read, I didn’t know everything about Joseph Smith, but I know the feeling that I felt only could have been of God. At that time, I knew it was true. I knew Jesus Christ was my Savior, that Joseph Smith was the Prophet he claimed to be and I knew that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was truly the Church of Jesus Christ. That experience along with many others make up the reasons why I’m a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Right now I live my faith by being a Full-time Representative of Jesus Christ and this faith and the Mormon Church. I get to wear a white shirt and tie every day! It’s the coolest thing anyone could ever do.
