Hi I'm Andrew Moore

I grew up in a military family. I have dyslexia but have overcome it and now write poetry, short stories, and novels. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love to write. I aspire to be an author. I write every day and have done so for years, since the age of four. I have a disease known as dyslexia, which makes reading very difficult. With the help of a good friend and teacher, named Mrs. Papke, I was able to learn to overcome this ailment, and now I read quite well.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always loved the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is the true gospel of Jesus Christ. Being enabled to read helped me to learn that more fully. The scriptures are a fountain of knowledge, and any who will drink from them may learn also of the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Without the scriptures, the Bible, and the Book of Mormon, I would have never come to this understanding. Christ has laid out His plan, and He has done so through His revealed word and His prophets.

How I live my faith

I love to serve in every way I can. I volunteer tutor learning disabled children at the local Elementary School. I do gardening for others and help keep the city clean via an open eye. I love to see others smile. Service is a good way to do that. Christ taught, "In as much as ye have done it unto the least of these my brethren ye have done it unto me."

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

Andrew Moore
God has always revealed His word to men on the earth. It happened when Adam walked the earth; God taught Him of repentance and instructed him to teach his children. When Adam's children began to fall away from the teachings he had given them, God called on Noah, and preserved him because of his righteousness from the flood. When the descendants of Noah began to become unrighteous, God called on Abraham, and revealed again the truths of salvation to him and his posterity. When the descendants of Abraham fell away, God sent Moses to them with the restored truth, just as it had happened with all the prophets before. When the Israelite's fell away, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to preform the Atonement and to restore the lost truths of the gospel. When the disciples of Christ were all eventually killed, and the world again fell into dark times, God called on Joseph Smith to restore gospel again to the earth. Show more Show less
