Hi I'm Heather

I'm a Mormon and a mother.

About Me

I'm a wife and a mother of 6 young children. I home-school and love it. It isn't always easy, but it's always worth it. I enjoy reading, writing, hiking, singing (well, anything musical really), being in nature, serving those around me, and being with my family. Health is very important to me. I have been a massage therapist for almost 10 years. I love helping people feel better not just physically, but emotionally too. I love my family, I love my country, and I love my Savior.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Mormon church. I was baptized when I was 8 years old. My family wasn't really "active" when I was little, but my mom really tried to teach me what was right and good. I remember when I was 12 years old, a friend read a poem about a girl who was always making right choices and who she would become. I remember thinking that I wanted to be that girl. That's when I decided that I needed my own testimony. I had the starting of one already, but it was still just like a little seed. So I started reading the scriptures more diligently and faithfully (and cheerfully) attending my church meetings. I started feeling the workings of the Spirit more in my heart, and I loved the way I felt. I wanted more of that! I realized that making good choices and following the teachings of Jesus Christ made me HAPPY! To this day, I am so thankful for that poem that I heard. I know I am not perfect, but I know that as I continue to live the gospel of Jesus Christ, I can become like Him. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the Lord's church. I know because I prayed and asked, and I received an answer. As I live a "Mormon" life, I feel peace and happiness. The scriptures testify of Him. The Prophets testify of Him, and I testify of Him. I know He lives and He loves us. I know that He is still concerned about us and He speaks to us through personal revelation, prophets, the scriptures & the power of the Holy Ghost. He loves each of us, and He wants us all to be present when He comes again in power and glory. I want to be there when He does. I want to feel the nail prints in His hands and feet. I want to feel that kind of joy. That's why I'm a Mormon. Because being one fills me with unspeakable joy!

How I live my faith

Every Sunday, I get to work with children at church. I love to see these sweet children learn and grow and come to know and love the Savior and their Heavenly Father. I also have some women that I am assigned to watch over. I love getting to visit with them every month and know them better. We learn and grow together and strengthen each other. I love the association I get to have with such wonderful people!

What do Mormons believe about family?

We believe that the family is central to Heavenly Father's plan for us, and for our happiness. We believe that our families can be sealed together forever. We believe that marriage does not have to end with death, and that our children can be bound to us through eternity and that we can be linked together with those that have come before us.
