Hi I'm Peter Newman

My name is Peter Newman, I was born in Utah, Im serving a mission in the Georgia Macon Mission. I love firefighting.

About Me

I was born in the USA and have lived here my whole life. I am from a family of six kids. I'm serving a mission in the Geroria, Macon mission. Im into wildland firefighting, lumberjacking oh and throwing logs. In high school I was the mascot. I enjoy hunting and fishing and being outside in the mountains. I'm not sure what I want to be when i grow up, there are lots of things that interest me. One thing is for sure though, I want to be a dad and husband.I look forward to the day I can start a family of my own. As for now, however, I'm learning how to become even more like our brother Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up Mormon, but until I was older I didn't understand what being a member of The church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints ment. Going through school I got into the wrong stuff. I knew that there was something out there to help give me identity and reason, I just didn't see it in front of my face because I didn't want to look. After some time I came to a cross roads. I could either find out for myself or I could spin downwards. So with some motivation I read the Book of Mormon. Nothing explosive happened to me while reading it, but I felt peace and tranquility. When I look back, I can see that my life started to change. Old habbits, that were cankering my heart, were going away. And I started to feel better. Life is hard and always will be. But Jesus Christ came here to help us. Im still learning what it means to be Latter Day saint, and will be through out my whole life. Everyone is. But I know the Atonement is real. and it is continualy helping me change and grow. I try to look forward and not backward. And when life gets hard I try to remember to go to my knees. No one is perfect, but we all have the potential to one day get there.

How I live my faith

I am gratful for the oppertunities I have to serve in my church, to be able to help and serve those who are in need of help both with the physical part of life and the spiritual part of life. Everyday I always strive to live a clean life so that I may be worthy to have the spirit of God as a constint companion. and to live worthy so that I may be a holder of the Holy Priesthood of God. I strive to be the best I can be, but being human, its a given factor that I will make mistakes, that is why im so very very greatful for Jesus Christ. That I can once again, through his help, become clean again. Its an amazing gift and I count myself so greatly blessed.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Peter Newman
Mormons are just like anybody else. We listen to music, watch movies, and eat pizza. We believe in always trying to do better than the day before. We aren't perfect. We look up to our example, Jesus Christ, and follow him. He came to help us, but its our choice to take his help. We believe in living honest and clean. but again, no one is perfect. I joy in Christ and what he did for me and you. And because of that I look forward with hope. Show more Show less
