Hi I'm Talon Hone

I love heavy rock, long boarding, video games, camping, and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I was born in Payson, Utah. I am the second of 4 kids in my family and I am the only son of the family. Although in can be hard with my 3 sisters sometimes, I love them to death! I would do anything for them. My parents, my siblings and I are all members of the Church and I know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is what has kept us close together throughout the years. I am a college student and I am planning on being a Pharmacist. I love being in the outdoors! I love camping, shooting guns, long-boarding, fishing, playing video games, and tons of other things! I served a 2 year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I served in Mendoza Argentina for 2 years and I love the people there. Sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ was something that helped me and I was able to help others find the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church. My parents always gave me the example. I was taught to learn these things for myself as well. I reached the age where I needed to make my own decision. Just as the promise says in the Book of Mormon in Moroni 10:3-5 I followed that promise and I said a prayer. Not immediately but after some time I received an answer. I know that these things are true because God answered my prayer and sent the Holy Spirit to my heart. I have a testimony I cannot deny that this is the true church of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by always trying to do what I believe. Missionaries of the Church teach basic principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Things like Faith, Repentance, Baptism, Receiving the Holy Ghost, and Enduring to the end of your life always focusing on the Saviour. I am always trying to focus on Him. I believe as the bible says that "faith without works is dead" and I always do my best to help those around me. I know that as we live a life centered on the teachings of Jesus Christ, we will have a life with much more peace, joy, and happiness. I love this gospel, and I know it is true. I invite all others to learn more about it because I have seen countless miraculous changes it does in my own life, and in the lives of others.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Talon Hone
To me personally, nature and life is a perfect sign of the existance of God. Just as it says in Psalms 19:1. As I have grown up seeing the beautiful mountains, the ocean, animal life, and just how perfectly life flows, I have always known that there is a superior being watching over us who loves us and wants us to enjoy this life. Look around you, soon you will realize how beautiful life really is. Show more Show less

What does Mormonism teach regarding baptism?

Talon Hone
We believe that we must be baptized following Christ's example, or in other words, being baptized by immersion by someone who holds the Priesthood Authority of God. Just as Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist, we also believe we must be baptized by someone who holds that same authority from God. By being baptized we are in a way born again. As Christ said "Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." (John 3:5) We believe Baptism to be essencial for entering into God's kingdom. Also we believe baptism to be a form of being born again spiritually. As we are submerged into the water, our old life and our old habits die, as we are raised out of the water we are a new person spiritually and we begin a new life dedicated to the Lord and His teachings. Following baptism we believe that man must also receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost to fulfill the saying of the Lord Jesus Christ "be born of water, and of the Spirit". The gift of the Holy Ghost is passed to some who was recently baptized, by the laying on of hands, by someone who holds the Priesthood Authority of God. The two ordinances together complete the baptism. Show more Show less
