Hi I'm Christopher Brown

I'm a missionary in China Hong Kong. I'm a singer. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a son to the best parents in the world. I am a brother to the best siblings ever, we are inseparable. I am an uncle. I went to college for one semester before I decided to serve a mission. I am now serving in the China, Hong Kong mission. I am also a singer. Singing is my entire life. I sing pretty much wherever I go. I think music has the ability to change people and can brighten anyone's day. I love writing songs, and almost always have a lyric book with me to write down new thoughts. I love being outdoors and walking around. There are so many things to see and so much to do in this big world. I love taking pictures of the places I have been and the things I am able to experience. Most importantly, I love doing these things with the people that I love (friends, family, etc.)

Why I am a Mormon

I have had the opportunity to grow up in the church. My parents raised me as a faithful LDS member, but through small, personal experiences, I have gained my own testimony that this church is true. This church has brought me and my family many blessings. I know this church can bring everyone blessings, that is why I decided to serve a mission... So others can be with their families for eternity. There was a time in my life where so many things happened at once and I felt so overwhelmed, I even felt alone. I decided to pray for God's help, because only he could help me with the things I was going through. That experience changed me and made my testimony more solid. It really helped me know that God is really there and he really does care for each one of us. I know that Joseph Smith was visited by God (our Heavenly Father) and his son, Jesus Christ. I know that through him, Jesus Christ's true church was restored back to this earth. I know the priesthood was restored to Joseph Smith, and through that power, many blessing have and will be performed. I know that our savior, Jesus Christ, atoned for our sins. I know that through this atonement, we can all be forgiven of our sins, and recieve exaltation. I know that because he suffered, we never have to be alone. We will always have a person there, who has felt the pain, lonliness, and suffering we will feel. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a living prophet, who recieves revelation from God for our benefit. I know he has been chosen by God to lead this church, and I fully support him. I know this church is true. I know it brings blessings to the lives of many. I know that if we follow its doctrine, we will be saved and inherit eternal life. I'm a Mormon becuase I know this is true, and it has blessed my life. I'm a Mormon, becuase I love this church!

How I live my faith

Right now I am serving a full time mission in the China, Hong Kong area. Throughout my life I have been able to serve in many positions in the church. My favorite positions in the church are the ones that give me an opportunity to serve others. I get so much joy out of helping other people. I love reading the scriptures. There is so much power behind them. There hasn't been a single problem in my life that church, scriptures, and/or Jesus Christ can't help me overcome. The scriptures are one of my main sources for personal revelation. I love looking to the people in the stories and finding the "real heroes" of the world.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Christopher Brown
Some of the most courageous/strongest women (including my mom and sister) are part of the LDS faith. They are strong, courageous, righteous, and very loving. Our church believes that men and women are equally important. Men and women both have different responsibilies, but together they care and help their children, wards, neighbors, and all people.
