Hi I'm Grady Sami

I am a Brother. I am a Son. I am a Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Saints. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Grady Siafua Sami. I am the oldest of four kids. I have grown up into the Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I grew up with the passion of playing football and rugby. My life was full of challenges that I was not expecting to get out alive. But with the gospel I am evidence that you can over come challenges. Knowing that there are dangers around every corner the gospel can help. My dad was stuck working over seas in Qatar. His job was working with the military, like unloading shipments. It was really hard for my family because my dad had been working over seas for about 6 years. My mom was the one who had to be stuck home with the kids. Its was really hard for me because my mom always needed my help. My emotions were hard to control. But to know that there is a God and that we are his children and that he will do anything for us if we are willing to obey him brings me comfort. And now I'm a Missionary in the Texas Houston South Mission, the BEST MISSION EVER!!!! And here I learn how to invite others to unto Christ, I learn more about finding faith; being obedient and becoming truly converted to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Being a servant of Jesus Christ is a big deal in my life. I learn the importance of loving others and sharing a message that can help them push through everyday trails and challenges that life throws at you. And it is being a Missionary that is helping me today.

Why I am a Mormon

My family has been a member to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for their whole life and to know that this is something that has made them happy brings me joy to know that I can have that happiniess as well if I would be willing to do simple steps; pray and ask with a sincre heart to know if these things are true. And after that prayer I know that this Church is God's true church because not only have I prayed about these things but I learned how to endure to the end. I learn that it is through his son Jesus Christ I can be forgiven of all my sins.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by excepting the calling or taking the option to come out and serve the Lord for 2 years of my life. It wasn't easy at all. It required me living all my worldly possesions behind: Family and Friends; football; music; etc. And all this just to show my faith to Jesus Christ and to share what blessings I have recieved to help others recieve them as well. Being Samoan, family means everything to me and going away for 2 years may be a lot, but if there was a way for me to share these blessings than I will. Through the sport I l love, I show my faith with the gift God has given me to go out and to know that I didn't get my strengths on my own. My faith grows from this book that I love to read called "the Book of Mormon". In this book whenever I am feeling frustrated or I'm going through a lot of stress I soon as I read this book I feel like I could breath again.
